I was looking through my owners Dell manual for my dimension 4600...
And it says I have a agp slot.
Is there a difference what pci slot or a agp slot looks like?
And also what are some good cheap agp cards? thx
I think there AGPX1 X4 and X8
PCI is usually white. It's longer than an AGP slot, which is usually brown.
AGP is the top slot on any column of expansion slots.
Radeon 9600 XT, Radeon 9800 Pro.

Odd... Dont remember a brown slot in there... Im just gonna have to look!!
I have several dell systems here
On my dells the AGP slot is either green, white or brown
it varies over the models
my dell agp slots are green ...you should only have one of those and 4 or 5 pci slots. Agp is usually nearest the psu.
go with the 9800 pro 256 bit or the 6600 gt 128 bit ...depending on what you want to use it for.

Im wondering whats the best AGP CARD?
I have enough money for the best card out there... and I have a dell 4600 will my comp handle it? thx.
what is your primary use for that computer?
How many watts is your psu?
x850xtpe or 6800 ultra might be a good place to start.

I use my computer for games.
I have a intel pentium 4 processor 2.66 GHZ and 256 of ram right now.
Where do I find Watts? Im not that great with deeper computer knowledge :D
lol ...well it should be written on the power supply somehwere. You may have to open the case but just look on the back first.
You really should get more ram.
