For a agp card... say a pro radeon 9800. Do I need a speacial motherboard?

I got a agp slot I was just wondering if I need some speacial motherboard that handles the card.

your motherboard will most likely support the radeon 9800pro.

im looking at the radeon pro 9800 but theres to kinds...

Radeon pro 9800 153 MB of ram or something and the

other one of 256 mb ram...

Guess ill go for more ram..

Nah, stick with the 128. The premium on the the 256MB isn't worth the money. In fact, certain 128MB 9800Pros can be upgraded to 9800XTs.

The width of the data path matters more than total memory. You want a 128MB memory with 128bit data path.

Back to your first question. There have been reviews that give video card scaling, they show the performance with various CPUs. There is a balance, but given your decent mobo and cpu this sould run great.
