Raid Card Issues

Seems to always happen to me.. I put a new Raid Card (Promise Fastrax TX400 - PCI) on my computer to replace the GigaRaid IT8212 that had failed it was an onboard device.

I also have another Raid card Silicon Image that controls my two Raptors in Sata-Raid (windows drives). The problem is, is that only one Raid Menu screen comes up. Whichever card i select to boot first is the only one i can see. I can make an array on either card (silicon image or promise) but i can't boot both properly. The Promise Card will let me make an array in Windows, but i have to re-make the array everytime i boot into Windows...?

I have flashed the Raid Card's Bios to the newest release and the same with the drivers.

Gigabyte K8N Pro (motherboard)
Silicon Image Sata-Raid (onboard)
Gigabyte IDE-Raid IT8212 (onboard but not working)
Promise Fastrax TX2000 (add-on pci card to replace Gigabyte Raid)
ATI 9800 PRO
Sound Blaster 4
Wireless Internet

With all this i have one PCI slot left.

Sounds like the two Promise bios are using the same address and tromping on each other. email promise tech support.

You have tried moving the cards all around right?

Yeah with what i have i only had two slots open. Tried the first and it was on the same IRQ as the Silicon Image chip. Moved it up one and now it's on the same IRQ as the Video card but at least it works this time,, well kinda.

Yep but you can also move OTHER cards around. You have more then two slots on that baby.

Yeah i mean i only had two left when i went to install the new Raid Card.

I have 5 PCI slots in total and one AGP. So the Audigy 4, Wireless and Raid Card take up 3. And the Video card takes up a PCI and AGP, due to the fact it hangs over the PCI below the AGP slot.
