This is the partition where the GIS data is stored on my work computer. There's another 2 partitions for Windows and Programs. It's a 160gb drive.

How much Bible music does one man need? I get by with only 120gb at home, and half of that is music (I rip everything high quality). Another 1/4 is windows & programs, with 1/4 free. Unless I started recording TV with the tuner card, I don't think I could have a need for another 100 or 200 gb.

I've got 480 GB of hard drive space with over 30 partitions....I'm not going to subject you guys to 30 screenies.

lol...480 GB of hard drive space....there USED to be a time where that seemed like quite a lot. I'm feeling hard drive envy...time to go buy more space for my ego.

30 partitions? Do they all have drive letters? I've always wondered what happens when A-Z are used up.

It probably goes to AA, AB, AC, but I don't think Windows supports anything higher than Z. Maybe those partitions are the total on multiple computers.

You can only have 26 drive letters. If you are seriously that depraved (what is WRONG with canadians? ;D) then you probably mount each partition in a folder instead of to a drive letter.

Heh, I was trying to get My Computer to display the way I wanted it to, and I happened accross this arrangement. I don't know, something about seeing "Huge" and "Gigantic" just cracks me up. Although I wish there was a seperate rating for drives over 1 TB. Maybe something like "OMG it's teh BIGGEST!!!11!!"

what he sayes my 1T drive is close the 600 gigs full ;D

all other drives are full of miss back up and fav files for easier access

with one drive as a download drive only(250 gig)

Anyway, I just got a 250gb Seagate SATA drive (with NCQ - although I can't use it with my controller). I could have got a 300 or 350 for the same price, but that would have been PATA, probably. This drive is fast and dead silent, and has gotten great reviews. Highly recommended.

Whats the NCQ for anyway, I know it stands for native command Queing, but whats it acutally do?

The structure of data on the harddrive, FAT types are older and NTFS is pretty much the way to go now. I can't think of the circumstances you'd want FAT32 unless it was an older system.

guess I'll post mine again. It's changed QUITE A BIT since i had to re-install XP with the new mobo/cpu. I no longer have any movies on that hd, all my stuff is on another hd.
