These guys (http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science/04/14/mit.prank.reut/index.html) rock.
I especially like this part:
The students were soliciting cash donations so they could attend the conference and give what Stribling billed as a "completely randomly-generated talk, delivered entirely with a straight face."

Here at the lab, we've got to write these long methodology papers that I don't think anybody ever reads. I'd love to get my hands on their program :D

Its too bad they jumped the gun and posted their acceptance on the website and got rejected because of it. Hopefully they can still make it down there and give their randomly generated talk, should be hilarious.
Given some on the stuff on the committees website, the emails they sent, and the gibberish they give out, they should be commending these students on writing something easier to understand than the rest of the trash I've seen out of the WMSCI. ;D

It does not surprise me in the least that the phony article was accepted. Sad really... :rolleyes:
