I was checking what HardOCP's front page had cooking and ran across a link to this editorial article on one person's experience (http://www.sudhian.com/showdocs.cfm?aid=665) with his new Imac G5 he bought with his own money last year, both for an article and also because he wanted to see what the "Apple Experience" was all about. What he posts in this editorial article surely makes me not want any part of the Apple Experience, let me tell you. ;D
This guy lives over in The Netherlands, so I guess his experiences with Apple's support might not be the same as what we would see here in the USA, but it would be interesting to here from some of the folks here how their Imac's and other Apple machines are holding up.

Wow that guy has some crappy luck. I've been 100% satisfied with my mac - from beginning to end. The purchase was great, it arrived quickly, it is rock solid, folds 24/7, and has never crashed.
I chalk it up to luck of the draw I guess :wtf:

Yeah, I read that the other day as well. Might be luck of the draw, I can't imagine they'd be in business if that was the typical user experience, but you gotta give it to him that if your PC breaks down you can just replace whatever you'd like, if your mac breaks down you're at the mercy of Apple....and their prices on replacement parts.
Very good article. Used alot of Mac's and my old school had BUNCHES of them. In every lab there always seemed to be only ONE Mac down, dunno why, it'd always be a different one, but never more than one, "just one". ;D They were ok to use, I hated how they were the opposite of windows, the close, minumize, and all buttons are on the opposite side, the task bar on the top instead of bottom, etc...etc..etc...
When you double click on the header of a program that's opened, what's it supposed to do? MAXIMIZE on a PC, but minumizes on a Mac. Drives me nuts. I almost had to pay for a broken Mac after I nearly went mad with it after a couple months.
Right now, I like iTunes and I LOVE Quicktime Pro, but I'll probably be leaving iTunes behind sometime in the next month, maybe. But Quicktime.... I'll never get rid of Quicktime  And kiss my ass to anyone who thinks differently :D

I don't like quicktime, it's too slow. I'd use quicktime over anything Real anytime though. I hate Real. I wish them nothing but harm. I even hate them more than X10 now. Of all the companies that went out of business, why couldn't Real and X10 go too?
Apple is all about marketing. It's all about giving you that warm fuzzy feeling inside.
