It's a lot of plastic and not as large as you think it looks.

I almost expect the giant blue fanhole to just open up, and launch a rocket across the room someday.
I'll admit, it is very blingy... but I don't know if I'd want it for my computer.

lol I saw this case earlier and I thought ...damn for the money that would make a great case to butcher some w/c around in.
I would take out the hd cage at the bottom for starters and relocate a raptor in one of the 5.5 bays. A badda$$ radiator might fit there!
Come on whaddya want for $60 it's got 120mm intake capable for cryin out loud!
Geez the v2000 is only still over $200 on sale! ;D
I've thought of getting a lubic actually ...http://www.aerocool.com.tw/aerocool-files-v3/lubic/q.htm ...I have a 120mm hole saw! :wow:

That one looks a little better mtgoat  .. I'm not a big fan of the flashy cases, and a whole lot of plastic. I prefer the very functional, plain looking jobbers, like some of Lian Li's offerings. I really like the black one that GrayFox posted above, that'll likely be my next case :D
After all the friggin work I put into modding my case for my h2o, there is a fat chance I'll be swapping it any time soon. I'd be scared to hack up a Lian

I dig it. Yeah it looks more like a toy or a boombox , but the 120mm intake would be awesome to have. Goat, what is that large plastic tube for on that case you posted?

It's an air duct that separates the CPU area to provide a flow through area of fresh air that is exhausted right away. The reviews on this case look pretty good as long as you keep a few things in mind.

Don't get me wrong I love lian li ...I have one and I plan on using them unless something better comes along for my next build. But I love them as is ...it seems sinful to take a saw or torch after a one.
On the other hand ...I love to mod and the aerocool just begs to be butchered! ;D

Lian Li is just to expensive first off.
I like the aesthetics on the other 2 posted better tho.

The original aerocool case, imho, is not attractive. The one that goat posted, now thats a sweet lookin box.
I like that lian Li case, but the thing is huge. Good thing its alum. or it would weight a ton.

so that plastic tube- does it just go from the front to the back?? or does it have holes in it to actually cool something?

It is only half round and is creates a wind tunnel so to speak over the CPU/memory area of the motherboard. So it brings fresh air in and sends it right out the rear of the case. This also keeps the warm CPU air away from vid card, hard drives and PSU.

NOT true..i have a barebone and this keeps my video card and cpu 2x as cool as a big bulky case that has alot of hardware

Smaller cases get more cluttered and less fans hence why they have worse airflow
sfleuriet
15 May 2005, 5:22am
in my case, i dont really care- i've got buncha fans, and i turn the psu fans up when im gaming and when the case temp reaches 35C or more. I'm fine with it how it is, and im not big on airflow. If i was, i would have a 500mm 120v fan in it.

And people wonder why their systems are unstable and/or fry components. :hair:
Not flaming here but there are so many that have problems and the three biggest causes are;
Bad or insufficient quality memory for what they are trying to run.
Bad or poor quality power supplies
Poor cooling caused by inappropriate HSF's, poor case air-flow or dust bunies.
Smaller cases get more cluttered and less fans hence why they have worse airflow
my small is very neat and a small area hence it cools Well.!!! I cant speak for all small cases, but the iDec 210p is a very cool case..Temp wise..
p.s. im thinkin of buying this case..i think it would be a fun project..

Here at Short Media, a bunch of us participate in a distributed computing project called Folding@Home, which is run by Stanford University and is modeling the way proteins (the basic building blocks of your body) fold or misfold. Misfolding of proteins is thought to cause cancers, Alzhiemer's disease and other diseases and if they can figure out what is causing proteins to misfold, there might be a way to stop them from misfolding. Here is a link to our folding team's forum, to the "Everything about folding" thread (http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3) . It's fun and folding will really test your overclocked hotrod machine's stability out better than just about any other program out there. Drop on in over there if you are interested and ask some questions; you definitely will get some answers back. :D
sounds interesting...Ill checkit out.!
