I have a microsoft wireless multimedia keyboard that has always worked fine since I got it about a year ago.
What's happening is that the multimedia keys above the function keys no longer work.
I'm quite certain that this is due to a tweak of the registry somewhere but I'm not sure which one I disabled that would have caused this.
The tweak files are quite lengthy but I'd be more than happy to post it if it's necessary. It involves all service settings and all of the registry settings I've changed.
Thanks

csimonIt sounds like you've disabled or deleted the startup item which loads the advanced functions of the keyboard. The easiest way to resolve this, in this situation, is to simply re-install the Intellitype software. It will be available from the Microsoft download center if you've lost the disk.
If that doesn't fix it, then we'll talk lengthy tweaks. ;)

thanks for your reply spinman!
I just resolved the problem ...In my move over I just plugged into another usb and it now works.
I'm using the default winxp drivers nothing extra and it's working ok ...I could probably have access to more features I suppose if I did but for now this will work.
again thanks
