I've received wonderful help here. Now I'm curious. Among all of the spyware, adware and file killer products available, what is the best combination to protect a computer?
I know that we're talking about opinions here, but I'm sure others would like to know, too.
Thanks in advance for any input.

1) If you haven't already, download Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org).
2) If you insist on using IE still you should get Spyware Shooter (http://www.spywareshooter.com) to protect you against malicious websites in IE.
3) Visit WindowsUpdate at least once a week and download all critical updates.
4) Install AntiVirus and Firewall software if you haven't already. AntiVirus isn't meant to stop spyware, but it will definately help against viruses, and it does protect against some forms of spyware.
5) I would reccomend the following anti-spyware tools: Ad-Aware, Spybot:Search and Destroy, and Webroot Spysweeper. You can get Ad-Aware and Spybot for free online, but I'm not sure if Webroot has a SpySweeper tool. Its worth the money to go out and buy it though.
