I am looking for a good desktop atx case to house my media PC in. I'm looking for something in the sub-$100 price range, if possible. I'm also looking for decent cooling. Does such a thing exist?
If someone can find me a cheap enough mid-tower with 120MM exhaust fan that I can mod into a desktop-style media PC case, I'd be willing to entertain that idea...

The Antec Sonata has a 120mm fan in the back. Solid PSU. About 100 bucks. Not much bling to it, but solid for a quiet rig.

Here, it's $40 more than you wanted but it's pretty spanky AND takes a full ATX mobo to boot.

I found a few at Chiefvalue.com for you.
Here's a Coolermaster ATX case. (http://www.chiefvalue.com/app/productdetails.asp?submit=property&item=11-119-060)
Here's another Coolermaster. (http://www.chiefvalue.com/app/productdetails.asp?submit=property&item=11-119-059)
Both of those are less than $100 shipped, but use 2-60mm fans on the back. They also come with a 300 watt psu.
Here's a Silverstone, which has no psu and will be around $115 shipped. (http://www.chiefvalue.com/app/productdetails.asp?submit=property&item=11-163-044)
There are a bunch of other desktop cases there but it looks like the rest will be more than $100 shipped too.

Thanks for the options, guys.
Shorty, will the one you posted fit a full ATX mobo?
Does anyone else have any experience with any of the cases posted?

Well I recently got a neat cheap case from ebuyer.com dunno if that ships to the US.
But I got a icute case for about £30 what's that like $50?
It comes with 3 fans and a 400 PSU and a clear side panel. Oh and the 3 fans have blue leds on it so it looks neat ;)
Ebuyer.com
worth a look at least?

wow people keep opening up old threads lately.
I really really love the case, but I dont know if it would hold up and the stock psu is probably a piece. The case does look nice tho.
Well the PSU is working fine for me and I've got 4 case fans
my processor AMD Athlon 2800+ with fan.
80 gig hard drive
floppy
CD-ROM
Radeon 9000
Sound Blaster Audigy Ex

lol exactly - dude that stock psu is a peice. end of story. unless you get a really really nice case (which thats NOT), it will come with a crappy psu. yeah you have a minimal load on it - radeon 9000, flippin floppy and cd-ROM, a very small processor and hd.. that doesnt require much wattage- but you'll notice that when you add things, it will suddenly die.
gray- suddenly 12yr old Powmax employees come to mind..

I don't mind this thread being brought back to life - I'm still looking for a desktop ATX case.
