Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a new socket 754 motherboard for an AMD 64 3200+, and I was just wondering which one you think is the best. Right now I have an ASUS K8V SE Deluxe, and I had some bad experiences with it. When I first got it, my pc wouldnt boot, so then I had to return it, and then the next one that came, one of the ram slots was f*ed up, and it didn't work. So I returned that, and now I got a working one. So I would prefer not to get an ASUS, unless you know that one of the models is very good. thanks

I can vouch for the DFI NF3-250Gb board being a great board with a lot of features for $100. It even comes with rounded cables and is very tunable. :D I've built 2 folding systems with those boards using mobile 3000+ DTR's and they kick much butt. :thumbsup:

Yeah Tex, no problem at all getting it up and going on the DFI board. It's an earlier C0 stepping and doesn't overclock as well as my CG stepping I bought from the Egg, but 2430 MHz still isn't nothing to sneeze at. :thumbsup: Plus it was around $40 cheaper too. :D

Great deal, Tex!

Server = K8T NEO (Via chipset)
Desktop = K8N Platinum (nForce3 chipset)

I'm considering the lanparty nf3 board for my next system. If not I'll probably use the lanparty nf4! DFI seems to be pretty good right now. :)
