as the title suggests i installed a peice of software then decided i didnt want it anymore
after i uninstalled it all the right click options are still there
ie when i click relevant files, i am presented with the usual open, rename, copy options but also options for the program which i uninstalled
the program was videozilla
if anyone knows how i can clean up the mess it has made please let me know thanks
if it helps, when i was uninstalling it asked me if i wanted to remove certain shared files. as i didnt know what they were i clicked no to all

from their site:
1) Click on the start windows, select run
2) Type "regsvr32 -u shctxex.dll" and click on ok button
It should remove the option "Play with Videozilla" and "Convert to" on the context menu.

regsvr32.exe is the dll installer/uninstaller
-u says "uninstall"
"shctxex.dll" is the dll that the program installed that changed the windows shell

how did you know that?
are you familiar with the program or something?

no, thats what regsrv32 does.
regsrv32 is a utility bundled with windows that installs / uninstalls shell extensions. It can be used to install anything from added context menus to audio / video codecs. all it does is basically register the dll that you point it to with the windows operating system

I went to videozilla's site, searched for your problem, found the answer (posted by a mod/admin) and pasted it here. The developers were familiar with the problem.
