Just wondering....

Camping out in the yard?

Camping out on Prime's floor?

Renting a room at a motel/ hotel?

Sleeping in car?

SLEEP.... Nope, just rest in my chair while BF:Desert Combat loads...

From what Brian told me, the floor in the house is not an option. It's your own tent or the floor of the big tent (or hotel, etc)

We might be able to clear at least the livingroom floor. We'll see.

Cross your fingers, but if there's room in prime's yard I may be able to bring a cabin tent, plus a smaller dome tent. All told, there would be room for about seven or eight people (without it getting too cozy...)

I've even got a couple of cots, and can probably bring a couple of spare sleeping bags.

There will be room for tents. Camping in suburbia!

It sounds like something a rich kid would do in their 30 acre back yard.

I should know whether my tents are still in good shape by the weekend. There will be room for a bunch of us if they are.

You can bid somewhere between $30-35 for a room in a Warren hotel on Priceline.com. I've done it twice for boardgame/wargame conventions in Warren. With taxes/charges it's less than $40. You can split the room with someone if you really want to save $$$.

I'm getting my own room through Priceline.com. It's definitely worth it.

If my small dome tent is still OK (I'll know in a couple days) it would be perfect for the three of you. :)

I successfully bid $31 on Priceline for a room Friday night and got the Fairfield Inn (Warren). The total is about $42 with taxes and fees. I have to leave mid-day Saturday so I didn't get a Saturday room.

The hotel is about 5 miles from Prime's house.

QCH2002

You be intrested in bunking on Friday night? I'd split the cost with you.

primesuspect

Which Fairfield inn is it? 14 & Van Dyke? That's actually closer than 5 miles, if that's the one I'm thinking of...

No, but thanks for asking. I'm a bit too old and crotchety to share a room with anyone but my wife.

Prime, the hotel is the Fairfield Inn at 13 1/2 & Van Dyke. This is the address:

Fairfield Inn
7454 Convention Boulevard
Warren, Michigan 48092
586-939-1700

If the shower-line is too long at Prime's, one or two people will be able to drive over and take a quick shower before the 11AM checkout. I'll have a cell phone so I can call after I crawl out of bed.

This is why women don't usually attend LAN events.

I'm aiming to get there on Thursday the 28th and set up a couple of tents. One is a cabin tent capable of holding 3-5 people (depending on how chummy you want to get ;) ); the other has room for 2-3.

If you are planning on using one of them let me know. I don't want to go to the trouble of setting up both if they are not needed. :)

If you haven't left yet and you're planning on sacking out in one of my tents, bring your own blanket(s) and pillows. I do have a couple spare sleeping bags (fresh out of the laundry).

Looks like nice camping weather. :D

The spiders had to be forced at gunpoint to stay down there with you.

That looks like the hole they pulled Saddam out of... ;D
