Hey, I just purchased a new CPU and Motherboard. I installed it and applied all the parts to it and hoped for the best. When i boot up my computer it runs into a lil error about SATA Raid's.

Now, i dont have anything in my computer other then the motherboard that has a SATA connector. My hard drives also dont have the SATA plug. Im just wondering,
Is there anyway i can get passed this screen and get to windows?
Is using a ATA connector maditory or Optional?

Thanks for your help, I still cant wait to try out my new parts. I hope someone out there can help me out. :shakehead

If I understand you right, you don't have any SATA drives at all. If that is correct, just disable the SATA Controller in the BIOS and the problem should go away. :)

Yes thats right i dont have any SATA drives, except do you know where i might be able to find the place that tells me "Disable SATA".

This is basically what my BIOS looks like.

Hunt around under the "Advanced" section; it's probably in there.

You should also check in the "Boot" section and ensure that your first boot device is IDE-0.

Didnt quite work, but its getting somewhere. Getting Closer and closer.

EDIT!!
I followed "Find SATA Disable" and found it, happy about that.
