Lol, someone's feeling chipper. I'm just heading off to bed ;D I have a job interview tomorrow, so that'll put a damper on my day. But I'm going to a party the rest of the day after that, so we'll see.
Have a good day yourself, sir :P

It's like that every morning in Manchester. The Sun is out, the birds are singing, people are getting promoted all over the place.

I was still fast asleep at 06:57 am.
The "Mancs" were probably woken up by the birds coughing in the trees ;D
Spent the morning doing a software upgrade on a couple of Unix Boxes.
All in all a good day.
I'm never chipper before 10:00am :D

Well my day in sunny manchester involved me spending 3 hours troubleshooting a problem with one of our citrix boxes, which turned out to be something incredibly simple.... feeling very hot & sweaty and annoyed now..... but in a couple of hours I'll be seeing my beautiful girlfriend who I only met a week ago but has already managed to reignite my once dead heart and make my soul sing again. All is well with the world. :D

HAPPY NEW DAY!! ;D
That used to be an excuse for my flop-mates and I to start drinking again. I would wake up to the sound of beer cans opening, and everyone toasting and cheering HAPPY NEW DAY.
The weather here in IA is great... but I have to go work at my coporate american job all day, so I wont get to enjoy it. :bawling:

Good morning - again!
Today, I get to leave work at noon to meet the A/C repair guy at my house. Hopefully he can get that awful sound in the blower cage to go away. I'm takin 1/2 day of work home with me though, so it's not like I'm getting any time off.
Still... the sun is shining, my fiancee passed the last two make-or-break PhD career exams, and I love my new job so much more than the old one. :D

This morning, I reinstalled the CPU into the RX-7. I've had a lot of car issues lately, and it was so nice to have that thing purring without issues this morning. I'd swear it's chomping at the bit to go faster, after sitting for two weeks.
At any rate, I'm about to go to the car wash and get all the pollen sprayed off it before I go to work. It's a good day.

You've got a CPU in your RX7? Mini-ITX road system? Or were you just using CPU synonymously with ECU perhaps?
Gargoyle
23 Jun 2005, 4:54pm
I suppose it's an ECU. People have been calling them CPUs (http://www.mazdamark.com/serv01.htm) though.
I'd love to put a Mini-ITX in the Volvo, though :D

Neat. How's the Volvo project going? Do you have a project website for it? Any pics? :D

23 Jun 2005, 5:03pm
I wish it was going at all :(. I had to leave it with my parents when I moved to New Mexico in January, since it still wasn't starting. I've had to spend so much money keeping the Ford Exploder running that I haven't had any cash to sink into the Volvo project.
I remain hopeful though: my Dad is convinced it just needs a new starter and cylinoid, and if that's the case, I might be able to drive it up here in the fall and start tinkering with it. At that point, a website sounds like a good idea! I'll have to try to find space to paint it myself to try to save some money. But even if it stays the ugly primer color, I'd rather be driving it than leaving it to rust away in Dallas!

Good morning all, again. It was another sticky night here in tropical Manchester. :) But today we are in for some quite violent thunder storms, well, violent for here, you Americans would probably call it a damp spell.

Sorry about that. Like a fool I looked on the met office site instead of out of the window for the weather forcast. What we got was an hour or so of drizzle. The rest of the country has had them but sunny Manchester missed it all again.

It's extremely rare for Manchester to get soggy though, dank is what we usually get, very big on dank up here.
