HELP! Win2000 problem

Windows 2000 refused to run in my pc. After the logo runs, it presents this message:

Stop: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\Software
or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.

Beginning dump of physical memory

Dump physical memory to disk:

After "disk:" there's numbers that runs up to 100 and then the pc reboots, but I go back again to that message.

I've tried to format everything but the pc refused. Is there any other way to run windows 2000 again? Thanks.

Hmm what does it do when you put the 2kcd in to bring it up and try to delete the partition through it?

I agree. Boot from the cd. Delete the partition. Do a FULL format.

If it won't you probably have a disk related problem.

Most Win2K CD's are bootable, just set the computer to boot off of CD in the BIOS. During the install you have a chance to delete and make partitions before you format.

Just boot off the cd like we all said. It's obvious durring the installation how to delete the partitions. It stops and examines the disk and lets you pick which partition to install to at some point.

That function also allows partitions to be deleted, created and formated. Just read the screen carefully and follow the prompts.
