certin websites close IE?

when i log onto some websites, like msn to play few java based games it closes all of IE and kicks me to desktop, any 1 have any idea of whats going of or how to fix it?

...done all the basic stuff, like check your security settings and make sure your VM is hunky-dory?
Have you installed or updated a pop-up blocker (this was killing my dad's games).

ya it had to do with the java virtual machine, so i uninstalled it ( 3rd party ) and updated tos SP1 but i dont have java, wasnt sp1 suppsed to install vm too?
