I can feel for the driver, myself. Once in the seventies, I was working a job about halfway between Laredo and Freer Texas, which are about 60 miles apart and I was driving west from the job to Laredo in the evening, into a setting sun, and had an owl try to take off from the roadway with a damn jackrabbit. The damn thing got as high as the windshield in the Co truck when I hit them both while going 65-70 mph. I thought they both were coming in through the windshield and only had time enough to duck down to the steering wheel before they hit the windshield right in front of me. I had to stop and check my pants before I got out to see what the hell I hit, which is when I found out it was the owl and a dead jackrabbit. :eek: ;D ;D
