Isn't this the second one in a year? Heart failure. They must be doing drugs at these places.
How else could they sit in an Internet cafe and play for 50 hours straight?
Yea, this new designer drug called 'caffeine'.

Sounds like meth..... I can't think of anything else that could enable a person to do that.

Uhh, caffeine pills could do that easily. I knew someone who stayed up for 3 or 4 days on those, because she had a ton of stuff to catch up on. It's pure caffeine, way more than you could ever get in a soda.
Oddly, Mt. Dew doens't affect me anymore. I can also have a medium frappucino and fall asleep 20 minutes later (I refuse to say "grande" or "veinte" or whatever... it's SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE!)
**** that. I've been up for 52 hours before.. That guy's a wussy.

50 hours? Jesus... people think I'm a geek and I only play for like 4 hours at a time :wtf:
I think the more important question is:
Where does somebody get the money for 50 hours at an internet cafe?!
Around here, those places are about $50/minute...

I hope that's a really big exaggeration. My friend and I went to an internet cafe and it was $3 for two hours.

From sitting that long a blood clot could have formed somewhere in one of his legs, then worked itself loose when he finished and became mobile again. Caffeine can contribute to that, by raising his blood pressure, it could have forced the clot into a more deadly place on his body.

Same here - $5 will get you most of a day.
yeah its like 8 bucks here for liek 6 hours >_> i only gone once it was with my brother in law cause he has a cupon for a free session, we played starcraft. (note this was back when starcraft was fairly new)
Yes, it is a mild exaggration, but it is a lot more expencive here in Cincy than it is where you guys are...
wtf would any1 pay for 50 hours of gamimg, when u can game in ur house for free?

You know you have a problem when you're 28-years old, live with your parents, and quit your job to "spend more time playing games".

Hmm, curious how that happens? Ive gone over every crack smoking scenario and do not see how one scratches his throat open.
Migh he have swallowed his glass crack pipe, and it broke in his throat cutting it?

I've pulled 12 hours once a couple years ago (never getting up from the seat accept for bathroom breaks) and afterwards I took a break from the games for a day or two after.
I blame the Earth and Beyond 5 day trial. ;D
Does anyone know what it is with Koreans and killing themselves/each other over games? It's as if they're more capable of losing control of themselves or something.

I was up for one day playing WoW for like 15 hours straight, and I got up to get some drink and my legs were like a numb funny feeling, it scared the crap out of me actually. So I went to bed right after that.

50 hours? wuss.
Agreed. I've pulled 48hrs with short naps playing through Xenogears, and I've been to LAN parties in excess of 72 hours where we took 3 hour naps every 12 hours or so.
Without caffeine. Sugar only.

different culture dude, it's perfectly normal for asians to live with their parents(or more like parents live with them) even if they are 50 or 60 years old.
but quitting job is another story.

He didn't quit his job, he was fired from his job over previous episodes of not showing up for work so that he could play online games.

Not from what the article said.
Lee had recently quit his job to spend more time playing games, the daily JoongAng Ilbo reported after interviewing former work colleagues and staff at the Internet cafe.
Either way, he was a wuss.
