A converter made by Gigabyte can be used so that users can upgrade to a DDR-2 motherboard and keep their DDR-1 memory sticks. It is said that the converter will only work with the Gigabyte GA-8VT880P Combo.

It would be nice if it worked for all boards.

If they include those free with their board, that'd be a good selling point.

Or better yet marketed them as coming "free" with the board.
