Faster boot-up

Ok sorry if this is in the wrong thread. Um my question is my comp takes waay to long to boot up and in tha tweaks and tricks thread there was something about how to speed it up..but now tha link is down, so to make this long story short how can i speed up the process the only thing that takes so long (that I know of) is nortons anti-virus.. So can ya'll help me out? :scratch:

Specs of computer, operating system, current boot time, amount of time OS has been installed, has it always been like this?

its not slow problem wise I juz wanted to find out tha tweak to speed it up im running windows xp home edition its takes like 1 1/2 - 2 min to fully boot up when tha programs are starting up on the main pg.
