Dual channel configs?

Hey guys...

I just got my IC7-G Max II and 2gb (2 x 1gb) of of PC3200 Corsair XMS dual channel now I already have 1 gb of corsair 2700, should I use all three gigs or just let the 2 gigs of 3200 run in dual channel mode...or can I have both running in dual channel without it all defaulting to 2700.

Just use the 2GB. They will all drop down to PC2700.

I guess that all depends on what you are doing, personally, even 1GB is enough for me, let alone 3GB. You will not be able to run dual channel with 3 dimms unfortunatly. My suggestion would be to ditch the third DIMM, and just run the matched pair.

well they are actually two paired sets of corsair...one set of 3200 and the other is 2700...I am running 3ds Max BTW...
