Looks like they decided "if we can't beat 'em, join 'em."

"Sony Computer Entertainment America is offering PSP users a software upgrade that will allow wireless Internet access on the device, including a new Web browser to connect to news, entertainment content, online searches and e-mail.

The software is also built to increase data security on the device and enhance digital photo-sharing and video playback capabilities, the company said."

Sounds cool, but they should try to upgrade the browser to something better other than the old crappy browser type.

Us folks with asian & Jap PSP's have had this for a few weeks now. It's not bad if you've got a wifi spot but no pc otherwise it's too small to use effectively & typing addresses is a pain in the whatsits.

this is, people in the US have known 'bout the US web browser a loooong time
