Brian "primesuspect" Ambrozy, one of the owners of illustrious tech site www.short-media.com, has been locked up for "good" by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (the MDA).

He is appealing to the viewers and members of this community to help bail him out. He promises that he can't stand being locked up any longer than necessary, as he has to get back to posting various tidbits and playing Paper Mario and other important tasks.

You can help bail him out (http://www.mdalockup.org/bailpage.aspx?j=48637) by contributing to the MDA, which can help with things like research, leg braces, wheelchairs, and MDA summercamp for children who are afflicted with muscular dystrophy.

You can help post bail online at http://www.mdalockup.org/bailpage.aspx?j=48637

Folks, this is an area where even a small contribution can make a huge difference in the quality of life for those in need. C'mon, a few bucks ain't gonna make or break you.

Besides, we'd all like to put an end to this spectacle:

The situation is becoming even more desperate as the hours pass. Apparently our fearless leader has been hog-tied, and has no access to his keyboard.

I received this (blank) email this afternoon:

Talk about a convergence of great ideas: (http://et.tv.yahoo.com/celebrities/etsid295310012417/)

...legendary comedian JERRY LEWIS has announced that his annual Labor Day Telethon benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association will also feature celebrity fund-raising appeals for the Katrina relief efforts. He has also announced the MDA will donate a whopping $1 million of its funds to help the victims across Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

The effects of Hurricane Katrina will be resolved at some point; let's make that true for the ravages of MD as well. :)

Guys, we have $900 to go. Please, even $5 would help. 392 people viewed this thread. If each of them donated $5, we would have this covered. Don't be intimidated by the dollar amounts - $5, $10, $20, anything would help.

Not to rain on your Parade, because I've already given but given an option, I would donate to the Red Cross for Disaster Relief before donating for MDA. Of course, I did both so I'm happy.

Overall... Please donate anything you can afford to donate. Your donations can make a real difference to people. Be it Red Cross or MDA.

Thank you everybody for the generous donations! I have TWO DAYS TO GO, come on, I need to come up with about $500!

Bust out that credit card, you spend $10 on sillier things than this, you know it...

Please! Please everybody! I get locked up in twelve hours and I don't wanna be there all day on the phone!

Listen, if I don't come up with the money, I'll hunt down some of your phone numbers and I WILL BE CALLING YOU :grumble:

Anything will do - $5, $10, $500, whatever you can spare :D :D :D

thanks!
