I'm interested in doing this because I would
1. make a backup that I would use rather than the original
2. not ever have to swap cds again
3. save space in my large disc collection piling up on my desk

Why not mount an image of Far Cry with Alcohol 120%.

That will save you time and money, and take the discs off your desk.
