Has anyone be able to get Max Payne to work on XP yet? Friends and I have tried many times but we can never get it to run. We get some kind of error like "16 bit game will not run on a 32 bit system. We tried compatibility mode but still no go.... :confused:

Max payne works fine for me, no tricks :-/

Is this a legit, store bought copy? Up to date with the latest patch, etc?

Yes Prime it is a legit copy but I did not know there were any update patches for it. Thanks for the info....I will look for the updates now. We are talking about Max Payne the original game not Max Payne2 right?

I only ever played Max Payne on Windows XP. Check your media to see if it's damaged :)

yea man i beat max payne 1 on my pc on xp, make sure its updated tho

You need to patch it first or it will give your an error.
