I just got a Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro and man, this thing takes some serious macros.

The last pisture is of a drip of water on the stove.

Both shots are handheld so there are some blur.
Please post some macroshots. I really like good macros.

Hey Mac
what f stop were those taken with ? Seems to be a pretty shallow depth of field.

Thumb safety? Clip release?

Close

The proper terminology is " Thumb Latch " It is for opening the cylinder on a revolver. This is one of the parts I manufactuer and sell.

There is no safety on most revolvers - as I heard a gun shop manager say once:
"The safety is: don't pull the trigger!"

Nice, scott! I guess I need to visit your website now! ;)
//edit: Do you ever set up a booth at the KCR show down in KY? I know those guys are mostly rifle types, but I was just wondering, since I'm going to be down there for the October shoot.

For those interested

Camera was Olympus 4040Z
F1.8 lens

That paticular shot
Focal length 19mm
F stop f8
ISO 100
shutter 1/60 no flash shot outdoors on an overcast day

It is really hard taking pictures of guns , They are too shiney. Flash is not an option. Most of my photos are of guns and that is the reason I bought the Olympus it was the only one available at the time ( 2 1/2 years ago ) with a super bright f 1.8 lens
