So I posted a thread in the emergency help forum a few days ago, and part of that was about how my K7D wouldn't POST @ 133 after I'd accidentally turned it on with the clr_cmos jumper in the clear position. I e-mailed MSI, and they told me to flash it to the latest bios (which I had, but I flashed down to 1.3). Oddly enough, it POSTed @ 133 a few minutes ago, so I went ahead and tried to flash the bios. This is what happened:

So, I'm thinking I need a new BIOS chip. Time to e-mail MSI and see if I can get them to ship me one... if not, it's off to badflash.com  ;D

I would say that looks like a bad BIOS chip. :/

Badflash.com will take good care of you.

I'm going to try to get one from MSI first... not because I don't trust you or anything, but because if I can get it from MSI, it'll probably be free, versus $20 for badflash.com. If I can't get one from MSI tho, I'll order one from Badflash.com

That's the logical step to take, if you have the time to wait. If it were Abit, they'd insist on the full motherboard RMA process.
