Short Media bytes?

I didn't see a forum for general Q&A, so I thought I'd put it here.

Where do Short-Media bytes come from? Those random quotes from people at the top of the home page. I've been wondering about that for a long time now. Do we have a chat room here somewhere?

No Tim, the Short-Media Bytes section contains quotations snatched from threads in the forums. All the stuff in there has been taken from threads in the open forums.

Many of the bytes contain links to the relevant discussions.

Whenever a mod comes across something that strikes them as funny, it usually ends up in the sm bytes. Some are from IM conversations I've had with various members.

Speaking of the SM Bytes, where has the forum gone? I know it was there in the Short-Media Forum section...

Tim, some bytes are from IM conversations. You'll notice they're usually between an admin or supermod and another member, because those are the people that can add bytes. :)
