View Full Version : Utilities Poll - Week 9

This week's topic: CD Burning Software

Your input will determine which programs are chosen to bear the proud title "Short-Media Approved", so be sure to vote!

These days, nearly everyone has a CD Burner. Whether you use it for critical data backup, making custom music CD's, file transfer, or making it easier to hide your Bible Music, you need a burning program which is effective, reliable, and easy to use.

What's your favorite CD Burning Software?

Since different CD Burning programs may have very specific uses, we're going to let you vote for more than one. Also, if you are one of the growing number of people lucky enough to have a DVD burner please vote, and let us know your preferred format.

Please add your comments and opinions in this thread! Once this project is complete there will be an article written detailing the "S-M Approved" utilities. Knowing "what" you prefer would be great. Knowing "why" you prefer it would be even better.

I will attempt to modify the poll if one of the "Other" votes gets way more votes than one I've already listed.

Thanks for the great response last week (http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3231). The member's choice was pretty clear. Your vote matters - all comments and all software receiving votes will be mentioned when the Short-Media Approved Utilities list is published.

Coming Soon - Part I of the Short-Media Approved Utilities list!

Nero and Alcohol depending on the situation.

Nero mainly because its nice to use with handy stuff such as overburn.

Alcohol simply because it rocks, nice for burning images, making images etc and i love being able to mount images saving time and cd's untill i can be bothered to burn things.

Nero all the way for me. Though I do use other applications for like Ulead Movie Factory for project burning, but for normal stuff, Nero is the one I turn to.

Nero almost all the time... just because I started with it and some of the programs are just silly, they feel like they're for n00bs.

I also use Fantom CD when I need to burn CCD images, usually made by the same program (I use it mainly to mount lots of virtual drives though).

Nero & CloneCD for Data & ISO's.

When I'm making audio CD's, it's Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.0.
