Aim

Jesus christ, my problems with aim are non stopping. I have 2 new problems.

1. I usually leave aim running, and whenever my computer goes in standby within 10 minutes, aim shuts down, any idea why?

2. Also, I tried adding something on aim, but it came up with the error: "The protocol specified in this address is not valid. Make sure the address is correct, and try again."


Any ideas how to fix it?

I don't hate it. I'm just wondering why it shutsdown whenever my computer goes into standby

Internet connection falls asleep, turns off aim, aim shuts down?

That's what usually happens with me, Gaim has 300 windows telling me I've been disconnected, but was able to reconnect me when I woke the computer back up.

This is new to me, it didn't do this before, why does it do that? But yeah now when I come to think of it, the internet connection does fall asleep. yep.

No idea, just started happening to me too. If its asleep long enough, I have to repair the internet connection to get everything kickstarted again.
