Cannot delete IE shortcut

I am trying to delete some IE shortcuts from History (found them by searching), but am not able to. There is no error message displaying, just nothind happens when I right click on the shortcut and select Delete.

Please help.

I found the shortcuts in the IE History tab after doing Search. The shortcuts display in the search results pane and I can right click on them and select Delete, but nothing happens ...
