excel probem

I have a problem with opening files in excel. When i double-click on file in Windows explorer or on dektop, only excel is opened, but not the file itself. Then I can open the file from excel.
Maybe the problem is only a small one but...

haha, your English is quite above par, mon ami...nothing to worry about there.

Sometimes when I did what you explained, I got what looked like just Excel, and no file; it turned out the file was minimized and tucked quite low on the bottom of the Excel window. I never figured out why, but once I realized what to look for...
