Ok, gang, here it is. Simply I'm sure, but still aggravating.

When I click on a link in a email, it will not allow me to access the link.
Instead I get an error message that simply says:

"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please see your system administrator."

What's up with that? Been doing it for the last month or so. Any gurus out there that can help? Getting tired of using cut and Elmer's Glue to view
anything. Thanks!

What did your Sys Admin say when you told him?

I did a Google search and found a few leads:

I found this at http://www.uchug.org/id17.htm:

I am getting the following error in Outlook 2003 whenever I click on a Link in e-mail: This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. How can I restore it to normal operation?

After some back and forth on this one, we figured out that this happened because you installed a new Web browser, Firefox, then uninstalled it, leaving Outlook with no default browser to use for links.

The new way to fix this is to open Internet Explorer, the Web you now use, and go to Toolsh Internet Optionsh Programsh and use the Reset Web Settings option (while unchecking the box for “Also reset my home page”).
