Ima Beginner! Help!

Hey people, I'm new here. Recently from Make-a-wish foundation I recieved a new Panasonic DVX100a, and I am TOTALLY lost. Right now, I am not able to connect it to my Mac OSX Laptop...does anyone know? LOL Please dont laugh Ima total beginner.

Well, im assuming its a digital video camera, because thats what all the pictures were of when i searched for it. If it is a digital camera, it should have come with a cd that has drivers for it, along with other software. You have to install that first, or else your computer wont be able to recognize it. Check and see if it came with that cd, otherwise i can just search for the drivers online and put a link here where you can download it. good luck with the camera
