I have an eMachines T2862. 2.6 Ghz Celeron D, with an Intel D845GVSR. Shortly after buying this comp very cheaply from a friend of mine I went through all the tasks of removing spyware, adware, viruses, etc. I have updated all the drivers and microsoft updates. The only problem was that I was trying to update the BIOS. Not sure why, just to have everything "up to date", I suppose. And I have been thinking about overclocking, but of course Intel boards dont allow you to do that, so I will keep well enough alone. So I amiably hopped over to the Intel sight and downloaded the BIOS from there site for my board. Low and behold when I go to install it it says it is the improper BIOS for my MOBO. So, after talking to a guy at Pheonix/Award he informs me that the BIOS on my particular board is actually proprietary, from emachines themselves, not Intel. Ok, no problem there, I hop over to the product support page for eMachines. Hmm, no page for BIOS downloads. Gotta love eMachines. ;D Anyway, my question is, does anyone know of a site or anything where I could download said BIOS for said comp?

To be honest, unless you have a problem which you know a BIOS update will fix, you are better off leaving well enough alone. :)

I looked all over their site and couldn't find a BIOS download page anywhere. About the only thing I could suggest is that you try their Live Chat or email support.

Good luck. :)

Thank you Prof for your reply, yes maybe well enough is best left alone. I will just have to save up those pennies and build my own comp with a MOBO that allows o/c and BIOS updates, lol. Thanks again.
