Advanced Uninstaller Pro 2005 !!??

Hey Dudes

Has anyone heard of or used a program Advanced Uninstaller Pro 2005, I have recently aquired it and it is a multi faceted and functioned piece of software. I am wary of trying it as I recently have had a bad experiance with a program called Diskeeper 9 which caused havoc with my system

any advice and/or suggestions would be apreciated

However, it sounds like something completely different from Diskeeper. Diskeeper is a defragmentation program while it sounds like your advanced uninstaller is .... well, uninstaller software.

I've been using Diskeeper for years, since v5, on servers, workstations, in corporate environments, etc. It has never failed me, nor has it ever wreaked "havoc". Perhaps if doing a defrag caused problems, you have disk errors that need to be addressed.

AU pro, does a lot more than just uninstall, it optimises the registry, registry cleaner, finds duplicate files, start up manager, etc about 20 differant 'maintenance' programs in all (something similar to Jv16 power tools) it looks quite impresive. But I have experianced problems with this kind of software before this is what makes me wary. Whith diskeeper my computer started rebooting at weird and intermittent times when I uninstalled it the rebooting stopped. Then again all said and done I am a newbie and tend to fiddle where I shouldint :buck:
