spent a good share of sunday, and then some once i got home today, the Abit KV7 mobo i'm afraid must be put to rest.

i will look at the newegg refurb section friday once i get paid, cause i dont have a spare socketA mobo that will run a mobile 2400+ around. I have my server folding as SM21 for now, she aint much but I hate to see SM21 with 0 pts.

hey guys, sorry no reply earlier...holiday season a pita at USPS

QCH...SM21 was/is:
abit kv7 kt600
athlonXP mobile 2400+(runs at 800mhz if mobo doesnt have multi adjustment options, does 2300mhz with ;) )
256mb corsair
40g wd
and the other pieces

i have a gigabyte kt600 mobo, but it doesnt have milti options in bios so the mobileXP doesnt work. i guess i could pin mod the socket, maybe an option. i dunno lemme know what you want me to try.

I'm looking to update the specs on SM21 (HERE (http://www.short-media.com/folding.php?v=smx)). I need info on the heatsink, and did you donate the 40 GB hard drive. We have SM21 listed as having a 9.1 GB Western Digital HD.

the 40gig was unused lying around
the 9.1 was loud and frankly, annoying. it is now unused lying around
was never given a heatsink, use whatever i have extra, slk900a right now
the 2500+ was replaced with the mobile2400+ after i updated my system to amd64. the mobileXP overclocked higher, so i used it since faster mhz = faster folding. as to where the 2500+ is, dont know. havent seen it since i moved.
the ram is the same as with the vid
i used my own case
the psu still runs it, nic is onboard
