XP 64 Bit - 2 problems.

I just reformatted and reinstalled, using XP-64 this time, and I have two problems:

1. My wireless NIC doesn't work. I can't find a driver for it. It's made by Hawking Technolgies, and their support sucks. A lot. And the chipset is TI. I can't find a 64-bit driver for either.

2. I ran the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard on the old PC and saved all my info. Now I can't get it back because there's a 'newer' version of the wizard in XP-64, and the old PC is dismantled. :shakehead

Well, I am running x64 Windows, and there is lacking driver support. Luckily I have everything but my printer and ATi video card. What I would do is put in the old hard drive if you can and copy anything you need onto it. Then partition the new hard drive in two. Install Windows XP 32bit on one partition and 64bit on the other, so you can run everything you want to due to the lacking support in 64bit. To get the stuff you wanted off the old comp, you will probably have to reassemble it, since the file and transfer wizard won't work.

Now I can't get it back because there's a 'newer' version of the wizard in XP-64, and the old PC is dismantled. Yes you can, or at least you should be able to. Use the Windows CD for the version of Windows that was used for your original wizard backup. Running the wizard from the CD ensures that both the source and destination for the wizard's data is run on the exact same version of the program.

If I had known that at the time, I'd be golden. But I didn't. ;)

I just went back to 32-bit until the driver state of XP64 matures a bit. That PC fried anyway, so I'm back to a 32-bit CPU. :(
