Help- Chose delete on reboot in HJT?

I was working in HJT to get rid of the problem in my earlier post (http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40135) and I made a wrong selection in HJT! I went to Config > Misc Tools > Delete a File on Reboot
I wanted to see if the NetInstaller I am trying to get rid of was there. Instead HJT confirmed that when I reboot Windows will delete that file BUT it's w hole folder- YIKES! How do I undo this please????

Look in the folder where you ran HijackThis from for a subfolder named "backups". All the changes you made will be saved in this format:

backup-20051114-161504-959

2005 - year
1114 = month & date

Find the one from the day you accidently deleted the folder, then open HijackThis>>>Config and go to the "Backups" tab and try and restore it. :)

So should I go ahead and let it reboot and delete the folder c:\windows\downloaded program files ? That's the one I selected thinking I could nabigate into it in the HJT program to look for a file to delete, but it accepted my selection of the whole folder instead of expanding the folder when I double-clicked like any other windows dialog would.
It contains for example:
ActiveScan Installer Class
Jave Runtime Envirnment 1.4.2
Util Class
Verify GMN Class
Symantec RuFSI Utility Class
DeviceEnum Class
....and more.....

Will Windows reboot and still run OK without this- or- may be when I reboot and it deletes it they will have already run and then I can restore as you describe below?

I didn't know that you hadn't rebooted yet. The Downloaded Program Files folder contains plugins for web pages (Shockwave, for instance). You can always reinstall them the next time you visit a page which needs them.

Before you reboot, try copying the folder and saving it in another location, then after the reboot just copy it back.

Just for kicks, I removed a junk file from my own computer using that method. It didn't make a backup...

You might try rebooting to Safe Mode and seeing if you can undo it, but I have a feeling you might end up having to do what I mentioned above.
