Going thursday to have it drawn up but this is what I am looking at

I am gonna get my grandfathers Jumpwings from WWII on my arm with his initials underneath. Why these? HE is the man I wanna be like, I want to remember him forever and Everytime i see those wings on mright sholder blade with his initials I wanna remember no matter what I may be going through Its nothing compared to the Hell he Volunteered to Jump out of an airplane into Normandy.

That sounds awesome man. I'm all for tats, as I do have 3 myself. They are a great way to express yourself. One of the most important tats you can get is one dedicated to a loved one. I am so proud of my tat I got for my dad with the folding cog. Can't wait to see some pics.

I gotta say that that is one of the more noble tattoo's I have heard of, being heavily tattooed myself, the only one that I have with any true meaning is the one I had done on the day of my daughters birth (bloody huge tribal thing on left forearm).

Good luck with the tat, top of the arm is (generaly) one of the easier places to get a tattoo, just be sure to follow up on the aftercare :D

PS Dan, if you are reading this, EMPTY YOUR PM BOX!!!!!!

Gnome - That is one of the best reasons/ideas I have ever heard for a tat.

Bet your Grandpa would love it if you added his Unit number in there somewhere.

My Grand Pops always immediately turned any praise directed at him for his actions to the guys he served with. He used Band of Brothers long before it became an HBO mini series or even a book for that matter.

WOW, I was thinking of doing something like that to remember my grandfather who also parachuted into Normandy!
