need some advice...

If you want to debate the merits of amd or intel please go else where. With that said here is my question.

I have a Barton 2500+, it is my primary rig which I game on, surf, videos etc... well I plan to upgrade in the future, amd of course but that could be some time away, I have a bunch of 3.0 cpu's here and today we found a P4 845 board from intel laying here, so we its up and running, should I switch my gaming rig to this machine or just leave it with the barty?

My current Rig:
2500+ barton stock
1.5gig PC2700
Radeon 9800xt
Hdd's
opticals
sound storm

Other Option:
3.06 P4 533
1gig PC2700
Radeon 9800XT
HDDs
Opticals
Onboard Sound/or SB live 24bit

OR

Get a 478 mobo 865 - 875chipset
P4 3.0 P4 800
1 to 2 gig ram
9800xt

I kinda dont want to shell money so I can save for xmas and future upgrades.

dang..even though im not a fan of intel. when an intel processor is better than an amd processor thats available, i have no poblem using an intel.

so i wouldve said take it.
