I think of the most off-the-wall stuff in the shower. This morning, I was thinking of my favorite luxuries in life. I came up with a top-ten list.

10. soap
9. a nice pillow
8. plastic
7. birth control
6. books
5. coffee
4. PCs
3. pizza
2. the automobile

And, the number one luxury that makes my life better:

I don't know that I'd call antibiotics a luxury, but it's definitely a fairly recent invention. Good list, especially diet dr. pepper. ;)

Air conditioning comes to mind...I have a space heater in my desk and it doubles as a gaming rig.

TV, DVD's and players, pit sauce (read that as deoderent), Chinese food, portable music and high speed internet are all things that make life better but things you don't have to have to live it.
