I got a $50 gift certificate for the local mall (MicMac Mall for anyone who knows or cares). I also see that HMV is having a huge sale, so I may buy the Phish "IT" DVD, and maybe a game at EB. I kinda feel bad getting this because my Mother-in-law that gave it to me lives on less than $15K in pensions so I know this is a lot of money to her- maybe I'll buy her something, too. My wife got me a neck massager (I suffer from migraines caused by a strained neck muscle) which is really cool.

I may also buy a ceramic fish from South Of The Border- I already have 2 and they are really cool. (one is like this, the other the same size but different paint scheme-they are about 5 in high). For anyone reading the "waht are you listening to" post, this should come as no surprise...

I have a daughter almost 4- she got about 95% of the gifts this year...so my wife and I limited ourselves to 1 gift for each other. I also have a 3-month-old daughter who is healthy as a horse and eats twice as much, so THAT is the greatest gift of all.

I did well this Xmas

I got
Nokia N70 telephone (http://www.nokia.com/nseries/index.html?loc=inside,main_n70)
Zensonic Z500 High Def DVD and wireless network media player (http://www.z500series.com) (had to RMA the 1st unit, and the second one had a network fault but the third one is fine - that's what I get for being an early adopter)
The entire 7 seasons of Buffy on DVD in a mega box set
lots of little things from the family
like scented oils and some nice pots and dishes made by my mother (she does pottery for a hobby)
Dad gave me a pile of native plants for the new house

I bought my other half
a New leather lounge suite (the nagging finally got to me)
A complete set of Furi knifes (http://www.furitechnics.com.au/) (Chef quality)
Driving lessons - bizzare at the age of 30 my partner has never learnt to drive, think it has something to do with growing up in the not so rich area's of Brazil then moving to London before meeting me.

I bought my parents
a few DVD's - Dad seemed quite excited about getting "Long way round" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0403778/)
Got mum all the hitchcock movies
and dad also got all the Bond films
a cruise on the James Craig (http://www.australianheritagefleet.com.au/JCraig/JCraig.html) - it is a 3 mast sailing ship built in 1874

Oh and I got sunburnt at the Christmas day BBQ - the weather has been very hot and clear blue skies, I am just in from an evening swim

I got some 200Gig Sata II HDD's from Sally.

The kids (all grown up now) got us some nice Ford gear. A wall clock that looks like a disk brake, a nice desk clock and a keyring. :D

The dogs got some extra munchies.

Me and the wife decided to get stuff for the house this year instead of spending loads of money on each other. We picked up some small bits for each other.

I got the usual socks etc. Also got a deoderant set, why the hell people buy these is beyond me, its only a couple of quid

I got a bottle of Guerlain Aftershave (not easy to pick up over here, got a bottle in Tenerife last year but have been unable to find over here, the wife found the only store in Merseyside that stocks it)
a wireless Xbox pad
and the biggest surprise, a Metallica St Anger Album cover, signed by all the band. Didnt see that one coming.

I got her some Chanel Perfume, An epilator (looks like a bloody torture device) and a new pink Razr phone

We picked up for the house a A new Sony TV (http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=KDF-E50A12&site=odw_en_GB&pageType=Overview&category=TVP+Rear+Projection+TV)

and a new sofa for the living room. Going to pick up an XBOX 360 in the new year now I have a HDTV
