w00t! I fixed my broken array!!!

I have an onboard highpoint 370 raid, and I had 2 WD800JB at Raid 0 go kaput on me!

The raid bios couldn't find the raid and said, "broken disk array', and that one of my disks had failed.

So i tried raidrb and other methods that would try to recover with out deleting the raid and rebuilding. But without success. So I just bit the bullet, deleted created it exactly to how it was, and used mrecover2, and now I'm back up as if nothing had happened.


On a side note, I bought a 200gig WD2000JB drive back when dell were selling them for @ $115 after rebates. I finally installed after months of sitting around.

A lot of times, you can delete the array and rebuild it using the exact same settings in the RAID bios and it will start working just fine.

In fact, if you are really ballsy, go ahead and try it, I swear it works. Delete it, and recreate it, and your data stays.
