I just got myself some new RAM that should be capable of some OCing. I have a couple questions though...

please enlighten me if some of these questions are way off of understanding what is going on inside my computer...Thanks all.

1. what does hypertransport link in nTune mean?
2. if my memory is at 225mhz and so is my HTT/FSB, does that = 1:1?
3. how do tell if my memory is running at ddr400 speeds and not ddr333 speeds (a program or anything?)
4. is it better to just crank the FSB up as much as i want and let the RAM divide down or whatever OR try to keep it at 1:1

download the pogram called cpu-z and theres an option where you can check on the ram. It will say how much ram you have, and you can see what speed each stick of ram is operating at.

edit- heres a link for you. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download425.html

Your bios probably looks like this:

Dram Configuration:

Timing Mode:manual
Memclock index value:
Cas latency (TCL) :
Min ras active time (TRAS) :
Ras to Cas delay (TRCD) :
Row precharge time (TRP) :
Row Cycle time (TRC) :
Row refresh cycle time (TRFC) :
Read-to-write time (TRWT) :
Write recovery time (TWR) :
1T/2T memory timing :
S/W Dram over 4gb remapping :
H/W Dram over 4gb remapping :

Hyper transport frequency :
Amd K8 Cool'nQuiet :

Jumperfree Configuration:

Overclock profile: Manual
CPU frequency :
PCI Express :
DDR voltage :
Chipset voltage :
HT voltage :
CPU multiplier :
CPU voltage :
PCI clock syncronization mode :

Fill in the values you use. If there is an option that you dont have, just type N/A after it.
