Hello,

I've been following the threads for a while and have fixed my own PC once.

I could not have done it without your help; Thank You All.

Now I have a friends PC and don't want to risk deleting the wrong thing...

I'm not sure what she has loaded, but it is running a bit slow and pop-ups appear. Also when rebooting "AppTray" tries to load, but cannot find a file. The only way to close it out is through Task Manager.

Could someone Please help me out and take a look at her log.
I have installed, updated, and run Mcafee 8.0, Ad-Aware, and SpyBot.

For the item that is giving the error, go to start->run and type in msconfig. goto startup and look for something with apptray in the name and un check it. Whatever startup is trying to access is no longer there or isn't working. I would also download somehting like microsoft anti-spyware and scan with that to make sure nothing is on there.

I think something else is calling it. I looked in MSCONFIG earlier and even went in the registry to My Computer\HKEY_Local_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CV\Run
and it is not listed in either. Was hoping something in the HJT log would give somebody a clue. Googled it, but that didn't pan out.

Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

If you have a script blocking program, please allow the file to run. It is not malicious.

Strange, as Silent Runners is only a scanner. It doesn't actually fix anything. Oh well.
