Reinstalling xp pro, but to an older version. Not happening...

Hello,
I've had a lot of problems with the Dr watson Post mortem Debugger, freezes and odd behaviour, normally as a result of right clicking anything, but not exclusively, and am trying to do a clean reinstall but the only disc I can get is an older version (I lost mine) so It won't just do it. The continue tab is not available.
This might be a piece of piss but I don't know what to do next. Can anyone help us out?

Have you tried reformating or at least deleting all current data with the hard drive manufacturers tools first? Or is this an OEM machine (like Dell, HP or other) and you are trying to reformat with a different OEM disc??? Another thing, unless the disc you are using for the fresh install is at least sp1 you will not be able to get any support or updates from Microsoft.
