Hi,
I wonder which TYAN motherboard is the best, (Dual Opteron ones). A friend of mine wants to buy one to use at home but he doesnt know which one to buy?
And I heard about TYAN from him for first time, so I cant help him. Then I remember you guys at this great forum. and I thought maybe (probably) you can help us.

What's he building? A server? A workstation? A gaming machine? Tyan makes fantastic server boards, but for a gaming computer I might recommend another board and perhaps going dual core instead of dual CPU. Unless he wants quad cpus by going 2x dual core opterons...
more info needed! :D

I'm using a SuperMicro H8DCE in my dual Opteron desktop. Currently I believe it's the best bang/buck for Opteron workstations.

He is going to use it like a workstation / gaming machine. Or maybe is there any other Opteron (940) motherboards thats maybe better that TYAN (not so expensive)?
