I'm not talking about the stocks themselves I mean the cost for 'trading'. I was looking at a few places like Scottrade and a few others but I just wanted to know if anyone had any good places that are cheap to do some trading. Now I'm not doing any BIG trading right now, I just wanted to purchase a few stocks and just see how they would do. So any help would be great. Thanks!

I can well recommend scottrade. Their customer service is excellent. Sharebuilder is not a brockerage per se, they do bulk trades if I remember correctly, they lump your order in with everyone elses in order to save you a little money. Scottrade's rates are cheap, the money in your account is FDIC insured, and it is easy to talk to a broker if you have any problems. Also, if I send you a link I think we both get a few free trades. Should be enough to get you started?
